The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
